Our position is that people are experts: this is at the centre of everything we do

Our approach to video production makes the most of your best assets: your people. We believe that by creating a positive and engaging experience for everyone involved we can achieve better results on and off screen.

Equally, our creative projects work by recognising and building on the existing interests, expertise and talents of the individuals who take part. Each project is designed to develop new skills, confidence and aspirations and provide evidence of what they can achieve.

Meet The Team

iainIain Shaw, Director

In the late 1980′s Iain was working as a social action reporter with Radio Forth. He realised that it was difficult for ordinary people to make their views known to decision makers. Media Education was born in 1990 and has been giving people a chance to tell their story their way ever since. Iain’s background is in drama, but he has also been a bus driver, so he’s got a few tales to tell.

fionaFiona Stewart, Production Manager

Fiona’s background is in Fine Art and Digital Media. As well as working at Media Education she is a lecturer at Edinburgh Napier University.
