| Week Three | Week Four Week Two : 8th - 12th August Reporter ProfilesEveHi im Eve, and i’m 12 years old. I will be 13 this month.I go to Trinity Academy and i am going into 2nd year after the summer holidays.My fave subjects at school are Art and P.E. I do lots of clubs in at out of school: Art club,basketball,Dance and i am in the school hockey team. For sports day i chose hockey and the team i was in won sports day and beat one of the teams 8 nill. My best mates at school are Joanne, Rowan and Lucy.My best mate out of school is Niamh. I live With my Mum Lesley and my cat Lily. This month i am very excited because i am gettin a labrador puppy i have ALWAYS wanted one and so has my mum. Its good because when my mum is at work and i am at school the puppy will stay at my dads so it won’t get bored. I think the reason i picked the Festival radio project is because i have always been interested in radio and my dad is a dj so i have alway been into music since i was little. This has been the best GO4IT Thing i have done this summer, the others i have done have been Cheerleading and accesorize they were both great fun but this has to be the best. In the Cheerleading class we went for a week and learnt a routine with a lift at the end it was fun but i was the person that was holdin everyone up. At the accsesorize i made a bag out off felt it was really fun. The best bit of this project has to be going out and interviewing people in the street. I am also looking forward to goin to see the shows.Me and Lucy are going to see a show called Flipped to the funny side it has got good reviews so im looking forward to it. We are trying to find the King or Queen of kids comedy. It will be good. JoanneHi im Joanne,im 13 years old, my birthday was on May 21st. My favourite subject at school is PE and my worst is Maths. Im in the basketball and hokey team at school. My favourite thing to do is playing hockey, because i love sport so much and when i leave school i would like to become a p.e. teacher. We had sports day at school a couple of months ago and i chose to do hockey. I’m really glad i did do hockey because we ended up winning the whole tournament which was the best ever, i was so happy [ i still am.] I love animals aswell, i have 3 rabbits, a budgie and a tortoise. My rabbits had 7 babies last year but we had to give them away. Im going in to 2nd year after the holidays [next week] and im really looking forward to it. The festival radio has been really fun so far. I’ve also done the cheerleading and accessorize which was really good as well. The reason i chose festival radio is because i’ve always wanted to be on radio and learn to use all the equipment. I have definately learned to use the equipment and i’m getting the chance to go on radio which will be great. LucyMy name is Lucy, I was born on the tenth of October 1992 in Glasgow. In primary 3 me and my family moved house to Edinburgh. I live with my Mum, Dad and (very annoying) brother. My Best mates are Joanne, Eve and Jenny.I go to Trinity Academy, which has loads of clubs , I am in the art, basketball and hockey clubs, all of which I really enjoy. In Art club me and some of 1 my friend s managed to arrange an art trip to Glasgow which was great and because of that the club leaders have decided that we should go on more all because of that 1 idea that I had which I’m very proud of. In first year I won a merit and i got to go to an award ceremony in my school to collect it which was cool. My hobbies are basketball art and drama, I’m going to join a drama club with my friend Joanne soon which I’m REALLY looking forward to and I might also be joining a dance club with Eve. I am in so many clubs which I think is very lucky and i can’t wait to join even more. PatrickHi, my name is Patrick, I am 13 years old and live in Edinburgh. My hobbies are playing football, tennis and i like skiing. I go to Trinity Academy and my favourite subjects are History and P.E. and I am going into 3rd year after the summer. I live with my mum and dad and my brother called Sean who is 10.I chose to do the Festival Radio Project because I enjoy doing the GO4IT program and I have thought of being a journalist as a career, also it looked really good fun and it is. RebeccaMy name is Rebecca and I live in Cramond, Edinburgh. I am 12 years old and I live with my brother, Tom, my mum and my dad and my dog, Ben. I go to The Royal High School and I am going into S2. My favourite subjects are Music, English, Drama and PE.My hobbies are Netball, Athletics, Dancing and watching TV. I am a member of The ‘City Of Edinburgh Athletics Club’. I compete in competition nearly every weekend and I am the fastest junior runner (Under 13). I took part in The Festival Radio Project because I thought that it would be a great experience and is something similar to what I want to do when I am older. My dream is to come 1st in a 200m at my athletics club and also to meet either McFly or Kelly Clarkson. I like watching reality TV shows like Big Brother and I’m A Celebrity. When I am older I either want to work on radio, TV or in The Music Industry as either an agent, a tour manager or in PR promotions. I have three best friends, they are Carina, Sarah and Hajra and I have known all of them since P1. SarahHey, my name is Sarah, I’m 14 years old and I go to Leith Academy. I’m going into 4th year after the holidays. I live in Edinburgh and I used to live in Fife.I was in the cavalcade at the weekend drumming with ‘The Edinburgh Samba School’ for the second time. I also done the cavalcade two years ago doing drumming again with the Edinburgh Samba school. I am also involved in 2 other samba bands. They are pulse of the city which I have been in since I was in primary 3 and Beat it ( a self taught, youth girls samba band with attitude) which was formed by 5 young people aged between 14 and 16 and has been running for about 6 months now with the support of Duncan Place Resourse Centre. I like all sorts of music from Rock to Pop. I really like going out with my friends (Hazel) lol and just hanging!! EilidhHi my name is Eilidh and im 13 years old. I go to the Royal High School and I am just going into S2. My fav subjects are English, Drama and History. My favourite foods are pizza and chocolate but not together! In my spare time I like to read, play football and listen to music. A lot of my friends are doing dancing at school so im going to join the club. My ambition is to either become a TV, radio or news presenter or become a model and be famous.My friends are all doing something in the Go4it! programme so I decided to join in the fun and do something with the Go4it! Programme. I picked the radio presenting because it looked fun and I have looked forward to do something like this for ages. This is the best Go4It! Programme i've done and will certainly do this again. HazelHey, I’m Hazel and I am 14 from Edinburgh. I go to trinity academy and im in 3rd year. I love music; I’ll listen to anything really apart from classical!I love going out with my friends and hanging about on street corners and at the beach. I’d really like to be part of the media when im older. Im really interested in filming and I’ve made quite a few short films. So far festival radio has been great. By the end of this wk I hope to have got a pair of mark martin's pants!!! LOL I’m been involved in 3 different samba bands, BEAT IT which was formed by 5 young people aged between 14 and 16 about 6 months ago, Pulse of The City with ranges through all different types of samba and reggae. I got involved with Pulse of The City through go4it. I have also been in involved with The Edinburgh Samba School and took part in the Edinburgh cavalcade with them. LouisOn 7th April 1989 a child was born in the leafy London suburb of Enfield. No not the new Messiah but near enough, and they called him Louis.16 and a bit years later that boy was on his way to the Festival Radio Project. He had chosen this as he had always had a burning ambition to broadcast himself to the public in any form. Louis had always been really hot at music, possibly because all his family (most of them) were professional musicians and his grandpa was Mozart (the last statement may not be true – the Mozart part). He held a scholarship to a school in Edinburgh as he had moved to the country when his parents split up when he was 9. He hoped to achieve a stairway to greater things from the project. RebeccaMy name’s Rebecca, I’m 13 and am from Edinburgh, Scotland. I go to the Mary Erskine School and am going into Senior 3 next year. I play the trumpet and in my spare time I go running at Meadowbank Stadium with my club Edinburgh Southern Harriers and I hang out with my friends.I chose Festival Radio as I think it is a great opportunity to learn about broadcasting and I get to see Fringe shows for free! I am really enjoying going onto the Royal Mile and talking to all the street performers and I have seen some fantastic shows such as ‘Bully Woo!’, which was great. CaitlinMy name is Caitlin and I live in Edinburgh. I am 13 years old. I go to Mary Erskine senior school and live with my Mum and my Mad my brother and sister. My Mum is called Amanda my Dad is called Callum my brother is called Andrew and my sister is called Rosie. My dad is an accountant and my Mum is a lawyer. My brother and sister are still at primary school.My hobbies consist of hockey, tennis and ice -skating. I really enjoy going shopping and going to the cinema. My favourite food is Italian so I love pasta.
