Funded by the Scottish Arts Council and supported by Falkirk Council, Media Education worked in partnership with Red Kite Productions to create six films in the Falkirk area. Two projects took place within a school for children with special educational needs, two with Primary schools and two with children drawn from across the region. The films were a mixture of live action and animation, themed around the history of the area. Each group visited the Falkirk Museum Collection in Grangemouth as a stimulus and used artefacts as props for their films.

The films produced were ‘Fire in the Disco’, ‘Back to the Eighties’, ‘The Lost Child’, ‘Invisible Kids’, ‘School of Weirdo's’ and ‘The Silly Sixties’. The films were premiered at a special event in Falkirk Town Hall where the young people were presented with a video of their film and an Oscar award.
