The process of developing a story, deciding on characterisation, location and script, learning new skills in video production and actually capturing video footage is a rewarding, fun and effective way to express ideas, opinions and emotions.

Media Education recognises this model of film production as a useful tool for groups and organisations. Video projects help to develop group work skills, increase individuals self-esteem and encourage young people and adults to be creative.
